Each year at rookie mini-camp an unexpected player will get a chance to make the Browns final 53-man roster. This year one of those is Miami (FL) Hurricanes cornerback Jhavonte Dean.
Now that rookie mini was completed on Sunday 5/5/2019 GM John Dorsey made three more moves on Monday in his quest to upgrade the final roster. It’s still very early in the process and no clear outline as to how the makeup of the final 53-man will take form.
After a masterful offseason of roster building by the Cleveland Browns front office, the test for the new coaching staff started on May 3rd with the rookie minicamp in Berea Ohio. Find those last few players to help take this team to the next level in 2019. Let’s take a look now on the offensive side of the ball, and the battle that will take place on making the 53.
On Friday the Browns put ink to paper an added 15 UDFA’s or undrafted free agents to complete the 90-man roster. In years past the odds that a few would make it onto the 53-man roster were high with the team looking to replace veteran players or those who couldn’t make in the NFL.
